5 Summer Shoe Trends That All of Our Editors Are Seriously Into
When it comes to event dressing, we find it's all too easy to focus so much on finding the perfect dress or outfit that your shoe choices can get left to a last-minute panic. It pays to get ahead when it comes to shoe shopping, as not only does that give you time to wear in your new heels, saving you from blisters, but also the right pair of shoes can really make an outfit. After years of flats and trainers taking precedence, the high heel is back with a bang. This year, it's all about "wow" sandals, from stacked, super-high platforms to rainbow-hued options. There is one place that has all of our favourite shoe trends covered this summer—Russell & Bromley.
Russell & Bromley is loved for its beautiful winter boots and timeless loafers, but it's also amazing for statement sandals and party shoes. Emma Spedding, Who What Wear's editor, swears by the Topform Sandals, which are chunky platform heels and remarkably comfortable despite their 8.5-centimetre heel. They feel really sturdy and solid to walk in thanks to the three-centimetre platform, so Emma knows she can rely on them for every wedding or fashion week event.
There are five summer shoe trends, in particular, that stand out right now. We love the 'Flawless' platforms which have a chunky heel and delicate ankle strap. The cream and black are sensible choices, but we adore the bright pink and bubblegum pink versions for a statement option. Russell & Bromley is really embracing colour this summer, with bright orange, yellow and red sandals and mules that will liven up any summer outfit.
