I Always Wear This Accessory When I Want to Feel Fancy

I’ve always thought of a really good watch as the gateway piece to a curated, chic wardrobe. Case in point: all the stylish girls I keep bumping into around L.A. That on-trend lady I stood behind as she ordered her double espresso this morning? Classic black-leather band, Roman numerals. The stylist I just had an appointment with? Couldn’t miss the luxe chain-link watch on her wrist.
My fellow editors are currently equally fanatical when it comes to cool timepieces, so I asked them to link me to their fave Timex style and share how they’re planning on wearing it this season. Here, see some really great fall outfits (can you tell we love jeans and blazers?) care of the ladies of Who What Wear and Byrdie—trust me when I say this is all the accessory inspo you’ll need this season.
“I always feel like the best outfits mix pieces from the opposite ends of the spectrum. I love juxtaposing a really classic bracelet watch with a more modern statement earring, just like I only really love wearing a suit with slides or sneakers.”
“For me, a good two-tone watch with a leather strap worn with a classic ensemble like a cashmere sweater and black skinny jeans is my dream I’m-finally-a-French-fashion-girl timeless look. I like to scrunch the sleeves up my arm to really show the watch off.”
“When it comes to my style, you can almost always find me wearing a gold watch. I can style it with just about everything I own, but nothing really compares to wearing it with light wide-leg cropped jeans, a slouchy white tee, and a blazer. What can I say? A staple outfit needs a staple watch to match.”
"I'm not always one for sparkly things, but this pick somehow feels understated and festive at the same time—pretty much exactly what I’m looking for this time of year. Best of all, it’s versatile enough to pair with my ridiculously OTT holiday party looks as well as regular office attire. Maybe I’ll finally be on time for once?”
“I've always filed the idea of wearing a watch under ‘serious adulting’—there’s nothing cute about being late. This simple white option is stylish and practical and goes with literally everything I wear to the office. Lately, that means cropped vintage denim, leather booties, and a check blazer.”

It all began in 2014 when she landed an internship at the company and never looked back. While she does love writing her fair share of fashion stories, her heart really belongs in the brainstorm room, where she has fun strategizing different ways to create content with our fashion partners so that you engage with the brands you know and love. If she had to pick one person's wardrobe to raid, it would be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's, and she also has a major obsession with interior design. She's a mom to a girl named Sophie, and she fully plans on training her to spot fashion trends by the time she's 10.
